LEICESTER mascots Dan and Joe Thompson enjoyed the learning experience of a lifetime alongside two-time World Champion Tai Woffinden.
The talented duo are both aiming to follow in the footsteps of the British icon by becoming the very best in their chosen sport.
And Woffinden took time out of his busy schedule to give them some first-hand advice on a practice session at Beaumont Park on a sun-drenched but cold Thursday morning.
Woffinden said: “It is important that the twins get some good habits into their preparation.
“These guys have already got the basis of riding and I am just trying to help them out here and there and tweak a few things.
“They are two good kids with good styles and they want to learn which gave me a great deal of pleasure and hopefully my feedback will be helpful to them.”
Meanwhile, their father Darren Thompson added: “It is not every day that you can have access to one of the World’s best riders and we are so privileged that Tai has taken an interest in Dan and Joe’s development.
“His observations were invaluable and we will be putting into place the suggestions that Tai has made after watching the boys ride.”
